NCR uses MicroMaster in the manufacturing test of boards for their ATM machines.
Prior to installing MicroMaster, boards were tested using a hot mock-up solution where a board was installed in a partial ATM housing. The hot mock-up test took 8 minutes per board and no diagnostic information was available for failing boards.
With MicroMaster installed, test times have reduced to 3 minutes per board and full diagnostics are provided for failing boards. The MicroMaster test solution consists of an automated fixture (known-good processor, RAM and external I/O connectors are engaged pnuematically). Programming of MicroMaster stations at various NCR manufacturing sites can be carried out remotely.
