MicroMaster automates board test and diagnosis, cutting costs and improving quality.

MicroMaster's Operator Mode - Automated Tests

Operator Mode (shown below) is a streamlined mode for use in board manufacturing or debug environments. It allows pre-written board test scripts to be loaded and run. Test results can be either a simple PASS/FAIL message, or a full failure diagnosis with guidance on how to fix the faults.

Operator Mode

Operator Mode omits the test script editing and configuration facilities, therefore preventing unauthorized changes. Access to Developer Mode and Interactive Mode can be password protected.

Guided Fault Isolation (GFI)

Test results are displayed either as text, or a block diagram as shown above. Results can be printed out or logged to a text file for subsequent analysis.

The first failing block (primary failure) is displayed in red. Secondary failures are shown in pink. Clicking a faulty block displays diagnostic information in the dark green results window at the top of the screen. This window also give guidance such as the names of associated components, a list of steps to take to fix the fault, and a link to the board's schematic file.

The green window at the bottom of the screen indicates the specific components that are most likely to have caused the primary block to fail.

For more information on Guided Fault Isolation, see this section.
