Software and Hardware Maintenance Contracts

Standard Warranty

Every new MicroMaster 3000 and 4000 Series Test and Debug Solution includes a one-year software and hardware maintenance contract (warranty). This covers the following items:

  • 12 months software upgrade cover, which includes upgrades of the MicroMaster Test Toolkit software and also the MicroMaster Automatic Test Generator Library.
  • 12 months cover for hardware repair costs, apart from cables, which are subject to 90 days cover. No warranty is provided for interposers. Hardware for repair must be returned to our Headquarters at the customer's expense.
  • 12 months telephone and/or e-mail support, with a maximum of 48 hours response time.

Extended Warranty

During the first year of Standard Warranty, our customers realize the value of our frequent software updates. We regularly add new features to the MicroMaster Test Toolkit. We update the Automatic Test Generator library to support new devices. We also add support for new processors to existing MicroMaster 3000 and 4000 series solutions, where possible (new MicroMaster solutions have to be released in cases where the processor's debug port design is not compatible with existing hardware). While our hardware is very robust, the added security of hardware warranty is also valued by our customers.

Having seen the benefits, most of our customers extend the initial one-year standard warranty. The cost of extended warranty is as follows:

  • 1 Year Extended Software Warranty - 20% of original software purchase price
  • 1 Year Extended Hardware Warranty - 10% of original hardware purchase price

We contact our customers towards the end of the standard warranty period to see if they would like to extend this.
